Welcome to the MacNicol 15k vac-run
You will not be disappointed with the absolutely breathtaking views that’s on display throughout the length of this 15-kilometre run. While the distance and hills may challenge a beginner runner, most runners with experience will simply enjoy this run as a fun eye-candy run in the early morning.
I did this run during the Spring season in late September and the weather was warm and there was no wind. I took about 3 hours to complete the run but that’s only because I filmed so much of my run for you to enjoy, so it takes me much longer.
Below is the GPX file I created when planning the route.
IFAFA
My original endpoint (as you’ll see on the map) was Ifafa Beach, but I was planning a run from Port Shepstone to Kelso (a 50k route), so I decided to test out running along and on the railway – it was far harder than I had imagined.
Download the GPX file
You are welcome to download and use this GPX file for your own planning. The file is compatible with most GPX file readers including GAIA GPS and GPX studio. I haven’t tested this on Strava but I’m sure it will work.
