Feeling like the past year is an unproductive blur?

The struggle intensifies, especially if you’re a business owner or solo/freelancer, witnessing yourself or your team plunge into December with a collective sense of depletion and despair.

The idea of taking time off to recharge just doesn’t seem like it will be enough this time, leaving us questioning many things in our lives.

What if I told you there’s a simple method I’ve used for years that’s helped me get clarity about the past and excited about the future?

You’re in mile 32 of a 35 mile race

You see, in my experience, We’re running a long-distance race and the temptation to quit is highest when you are close to the finish, but just far away enough, to make it feel impossible.

How are you going to find the strength to run 1 more mile, never mind 3?

It’s also at this point on the road where the crowd is really supportive. They cheer you on, telling you how good you look, that it’s not long now, and you’ve come so far, just a little more to go.

It’s that last bit that I picked up in working with my team. “You’ve come so far”.

You see, in my 25 years of experience, I started to notice that it’s in the last few months of the year that most of us start to focus on the wrong things and forget just how far we’ve come through the year.
